“For twenty years black people have fought for equal opportunities to eat horseshit and shove toy cars up their asses.”

Baltimore, MD- Late Monday night, The NAACP tweeted out that Jackass Forever producers Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine would be the 2022 recipients of the prestigious Jussie Smollet Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the arts. The award is named after the world-renowned actor, who is most famous for playing Gay Tupac in the movie Modern Day Lynching in Maga Country, which was filmed during a polar vortex in Chicago. Jussie was awarded a 150-day vacation to Cook County’s finest rehabilitation facility for his portrayal of the fictional character.

“We would like to congratulate Jackass creators and Jackass Forever producers, Johnny Knoxville & Jeff Tremaine on being the recipients of our second annual Jussie Smollet Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the arts for casting four African-Americans in their movie,” The NAACP tweeted around 9 pm Eastern. Later in the thread, NAACP President Derrick Johnson was quoted: “ 2/In the century-long history of the NAACP, our mission statement has always included increasing the opportunities of employment for African-Americans according to their abilities. 3/In the twenty-year history of Jackass, we have been advocating that Black people are just as capable of chugging beer with their assholes or gluing pubic hairs to their faces as those crazy white honkies.”

The inaugural Jussie Smollet Award for DEI in the arts was awarded to The Kardashians last year for their continuous insertion of African Americans in their “visual arts”.

When the Jackass Franchise debuted on MTV in 2000, audiences were appalled. They weren’t so much upset with the borderline bestiality or stunts, such as snorkeling butt-naked in a septic tank or having their poop shoots pierced shut, viewers were immensely perturbed by the lack of diversity. While creators Knoxville and Tremaine acknowledged a lack of color in the early days, they did their best to pepper in some as the years went on.

“At first things were moving too fast. We were just a group of 30 and 40-year-olds acting to the best of our capabilities, which is why we acted like a group of unsupervised, dim-witted, hormonal teenagers at a local mall. You know, like the type of kids who scare adults because they can do whatever they want and not get charged with a felony. Things have changed now, we’re in our late 50’s, and we’ve matured. Sure we still drop our hairy scrotes in each other's mouths when we fall asleep like an adolescent sleepover, but we’re beginning to understand that inclusion is important,” Jeff Tremaine said in an interview with Playgirl magazine this past October. “We had Compton Ass Terry, and Tyler The Creator join us for random guest appearances, Eric Andre too, but we never formally cast anyone of color as a lead before.”

In 2022’s Jackass Forever, the world was introduced to four new cast members: Davon Wilson, Rachel Wolfson (the first woman to be cast), Jasper Dolphin, and Eric Manaka. In a promotional interview for the movie with Howard Stern, Johnny (who in his 50s is still going by Johnny instead of John), confirmed that all four newcomers were specifically hired for diversity reasons.

“We were behind the times. It used to just be a group of whiteboys, and everyone knows white males are toxic and radioactive so we knew we couldn’t do that again,” Knoxville told Stern. “It’s time to pass the torch to marginalized people.”

Knoxville famously severed his penis during an “Evil Knievel” tribute-type stunt when a motorcycle handlebar mashed his phallus like turkey potpie. Thanks to his newfound generosity and wisdom, stuff like this will be happening to the marginalized, hopefully for decades to come.

“Yeah, my twig looks like Snuffaluffagus’s trunk. It’s very droopy and doesn’t really work right. I have to pee in a plastic bag, and my morning lumber looks like a corkscrew. It’s time for me to step aside and let these types of miracles happen to the underrepresented.”

While nothing as magical as having had a penis explode like a joke cigar happened during the filming of Jackass Forever, audiences were delighted to watch the newcomers show off their respective talents. Both Jasper Dolphin (nee Barracuda) and Eric Manaka were involved in the critically-acclaimed stunt “The Vomitron” where they displayed their incredible ability to chug milk on a motorized merry-go-round while dodging fireworks and being pelted with paintballs. In the “Roadrunner” stunt, Eric showcased his skills in riding a bicycle into a wall. But it wasn’t just the kids who showed off their talent. Jasper Dolphins' father, Dark Shark (not a joke actually) was involved in two sketches, including the “Spider Test”, in which he beat Danger Ehren and didn’t have to have a Tarantula bite his meat and two veg. Casino Boogie has been informed that Jasper’s mother, Inky Octopus was involved in a stunt that did not make the final cut.

Leon W. Russell, who sits on The NAACP’s Board of Directors said this morning during a Zoom call, “While I’m not quite sure this is exactly what our founders envisioned when they talked about equal opportunities in the workplace, it is a victory nonetheless. For the entire twenty-year history of the Jackass Universe, there were no people of color in the principal cast. Now there are four.”

Johnny Knoxville told Howard Stern in conclusion, that he wasn’t entirely sure if there would be any more Jackass movies in the future. But he did say that he was semi-retired and no longer doing dangerous stunts that might mangle reproductive organs like a Wile E Coyote sketch, and that it was his hope that the new recruits might carry the torch well into the 21st century.

On behalf of everyone here at Casino Boogie, we would like to thank Johnny, Jeff, and the entire Jackass Team for continuing to help fight against racial injustice.
