The Book of Innocuous
Original Short Stories by Ace Parker
The Book of Innocuous is a collection of original short fiction with no fixed genre, setting, or formula. Some stories are quiet and reflective, others comic, satirical, adventurous, or philosophical; the only real rule is that each idea belongs in the short-story form.
From literary pieces to offbeat adventures and everything in between, the collection is a place for stories that stand on their own.
First Story: Halcyon Latitudes
A worldship bound for Mars becomes trapped in a gravitational dead zone and can no longer move forward at full mass.
To continue its journey, the passengers must decide what to leave behind—forcing them to choose which pieces of humanity’s cultural, philosophical, artistic, and spiritual inheritance are worth carrying into the future.
